This summer, Find Your Path is running an exciting Afrocentric Summer Enrichment program for youth ages 12 to 16. The program will run for six weeks and consist of weekly sessions on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.

Each week, students will engage in experiential learning modules that draw on African-centred sources of knowledge and perspectives to create a diverse educational experience on a wide range of disciplines including medicine, engineering, law, and music.

For each theme, an expert in the area who is well-versed on the often-neglected African contributions in their discipline, will speak at the beginning of the day followed by hands-on activities in the afternoon. The speaker, a person of colour, will work with the students to create excitement about African contributions to various disciplines.

In addition, students will be paired with an older student who will serve as a role model and mentor for the duration of the program. Mentors are carefully selected based on proven motivation, academic achievement and commitment to serving marginalized populations.
